Serving Our Community
The Rock Hill School District Foundation was founded in 1983 as a nonprofit 501 (c)(3) operating foundation to celebrate and encourage creative innovation in schools.
The Foundation is organized exclusively to promote academic excellence in the elementary, middle, and secondary schools of Rock Hill School District Three of York County. Since that time, we have been documenting, disseminating, and advocating for exemplary programs in K-12 public schools in Rock Hill to help these practices continue.
The core business of the foundation is to support programming that enhances the teaching and learning experience. Grants may be awarded to district faculty and staff for district sanctioned activities which are outside the financial support of the school site and/or general operating budget. The Foundation is independently managed by a volunteer board of directors. Our sponsors and volunteers in the community generally give funding through donations. Directors represent all aspects of the Rock Hill community.
